Santa Barbara Wine Country Half Marathon

Run or walk your way to your first half marathon finish or improve
your current time by joining the SRC Half marathon training program.
This training program will offer a 12 week session. This program is specifically
designed to prepare you for the Santa Barbra Wine Country Half Marathon.

 

Workouts And Locations

Weeknight workouts begin at 6:00 pm
Weekend workouts begin at 7:30 am
First Group Workout- February 13th
Meeting place for all group workouts is Sierra Running Co. (9447 N. Ft Washington Suite 106) unless otherwise noted.

 

Training Groups Suggested Activity Level Prior To Start Of Training

- Runners, under 11 minute per mile pace
- Runners, 11 - 13 minute per mile pace
- Run/Walkers
- Walkers

 

Suggested Activity Level Prior To Start Of Training

All participants should be able to run or walk a minimum of 30 minutes three times a week by the start of training. Please, if you have not exercised in a while, call your physician and request a physical

Registration

In-person and phone registration opens January 16, 2010 at 10 am $200 per person for 12 week session February 13th-May 8th Registration fee includes race entry! NO REFUNDS after February 13th (no exceptions) There are no exchanges or transfers at any time. A maximum of 50 people will be allowed. This event will sell out! SIGN UP EARLY to ensure your spot.
Info/Kick-off Night
- Two info nights will be held prior to the start of training - January 25th and February 1st at 8pm at SRC.
- Once you have registered for the program you will begin receiving email updates as the start date approaches - with information on the shoe clinic and Kick-off night. You will want to plan to attend Kick-off night as this is where all specific training information will be handed out including training packets, location/date schedules, seminar dates, etc.
